Are you eager, curious, or driven to take part in marine conservation and environmental protection?
This excursion is perfect for anyone who wants to explore our territory and enjoy the sea in total relaxation — without giving up the thrill of discovery.
Become part of a true research crew by joining our sailing excursion from Vulcano: we’ll navigate “on a mission” to uncover the volcanic seabeds of the Aeolian Islands, cruising across the sea while waiting to dive into the stunning underwater world full of marine flora and fauna.
Once we depart from Marina Corta (Lipari) or Pecorini mare (Filicudi), we’ll sail to some of the most scenic and iconic snorkeling spots. While sailing, we’ll keep our eyes on the horizon: using marine mammal observer techniques, we’ll cruise slowly under sail in search of fins, blows, jumps, or any signs of cetaceans at the surface.
If we’re lucky enough to spot them, we’ll explain their behavior and how to collect important data for research and conservation using photo-identification methods.

Once we reach our snorkeling location, you’ll gear up with mask and snorkel and dive in with us as your guides into the underwater world.
The snorkeling session can vary in length — it’s all up to your sense of adventure and curiosity!
We’ll always be by your side, pointing out hidden marine wonders and helping you take a break whenever needed.
With us, there’s always a snorkeling buoy — serving as both a marker and a float for support.
Once back on board, you’ll be able to browse our educational materials and satisfy all your newfound curiosity after witnessing the marine world at sunset.
As you dry off under the warm glow of twilight, you’ll enjoy pastel skies and a scenic backdrop while savoring a tasty aperitif with Sicilian specialties and a glass of wine or non-alcoholic drink.

We cannot guarantee the sighting of cetaceans on every expedition, as it depends on highly variable factors such as maritime traffic. However, thanks to our experience, we have designed our expeditions in locations and at times when sightings are most frequent.
